"put on" is a phrasal verb equivalent to "wear".
"in a cap" is a fixed expression the same as "wearing a cap". There is a famous painting with title "A Bearded Man in a Cap". Please check this:

If you say "He came here with a cap", the cap may be either in his hand or in his baggage, but he may not be wearing it.

"someone with a glasses" is wrong. It should be "someone with a pair of glasses" or "someone with glasses" instead, which means the person "wearing glasses".
