This is a spoken expression used to answer or speak to someone in a very angry way, especially without a good reason.


If Mike's is in a bad mood, you can never tell when he's going to bite your head off.

sorry, Shirley, I didn't mean to bite your head off - can you wait a few minutes while I finish this report?
