When all are asleep
In the midst of night
I hear a faint beat
The soft beat of the one I love
I can hear her soft heart beat
Echoing within me

I hear the beat
Not just one but two
One beating for you my love
And
One beating for me

Can you hear my heart beat?
Can you hear what it says?
Can you tell that is it saying I love you?

Our hearts beat as one
Beating out a song of love

Only you and I know what the song says

The message is simple my love
