In simple terms,

poem means literary composition in verse.

Poetry can having several meanings.
1. poems
2. the work of a poet
3. the beautiful and graceful quality. For e.g. the poetry of the dancer's movements.

poem: 诗，韵文；诗体文
poetry: （总称）诗，诗歌； 作诗；诗意
