MTR in Hong Kong ...
Guest_
After returning to Germany from Hong Kong, I already started to miss the MTR system (Mass Transit Railway Corporation).

Just yesterday I had to wait for half an hour in a train of the public transportation system here in South Germany.

Ineffective organisation ...

I know the public transportation system in Taiwan is also working quite well - very effective organized! Will test it again this summer ...

I live in Nuremberg (South Germany) and we often have a situation like that ...

I have nothing against being "sandwiched" from time to time during the rush-hours ... but at least in HK the trains are mostly punctual and reliable ...

I managed to read the article after using Google translate. (Surprised that the translation was decent..haha!)
I had used TW's MRT many years ago, similar to HK experience. Taiwanese really queue up to board the trains.
Will be visiting the island again this March :)
Actually Japan's train system is really efficient and punctual, but the crowd was unbearable during peak hours.

Yeah! I was amazed at how the Japanese old folks squeezed their way into the train. Nobody wants to miss a train :)
