I'm afraid HK situation is quite different. Despite this demondtration most of the Hungaian society backs the government, which is a shame, but no doubt, a fact. Unfortunately I am not in the capitaly, otherwise I would take part in...

Well, there said to be set an upper limit, 700 HUF per month (2.20 euros) regardless the amount of downloads, but the whole idea is ridiculous... I myself think it is a kind of punishement on internet users, as netizens are mostly against the government. - Taxing the net is like selling out the future...

Anyway, I follow HK events on cnd.org, it's professional how the mainland media manipulate the mainlanders...

I am a bit in fear, that Hungary is more and more on the way to leave the EU in direction Russia ...

But btw., here in Germany we also have to pay a kind of TV or more general a media fee - even if you don't want to use the official medias ... because they are mostly boring.

@Hungary-EU
It is impossible. Even the supporters of the leading party are against it. This is simply not an option. - Besides, 10% of the Hungarian GDP is in fact EU support (I could use as well an even more offensive term here: "aid"). As I see our government blackmails Brussels.
On the other hand, Russia is very weak in fact. In my opinion all its steps are signs of desperation. If oil prises drop, Russia catches a cold... If it produced banana, we'd call it a "banana republic". Ok, it is not real banana, neither a real republic.

@Tv fee
We had something like this years ago. It was to be paid per tv sets. Anyway, strange how our government still hasn't found this idea.

Cheer up, Dagege, I am sure things are ont the right way - in the long run.
