hello :
大學時代,尤其是剛進大學的新鮮人,常常舉辦聯誼活動.現在回憶起來,還蠻好玩的. How we say 聯誼活動 in english?

據我所知, matching activities 是指一種「連連看」、「配配看」的遊戲或教材.
如果用於交誼方面,「我愛紅娘」節目的主軸應也是matching activities的一種吧? 至於年輕人騎(駕)車出遊的「抽鑰匙」、甚至於「換妻俱樂部」的活動算不算matching activities, 我就莫宰羊啦!

hi,
If 新鮮人 refers to 'freshmen', then they would be '老鸟' senior who is providing introduction and orientation to the new environment. I think freshmen orientation is commomly used but it seems to lack the social function and a more positive aspect of a 聯誼活動. Cause my understanding of orientation involved the freshmen coping with the 老鸟's tortures.
