I only know the second qustion's answer. It means....if a married person fools around, he has a sexual relationship with someone who is not his wife.
Is that right?

Q. A friend said dont use "yo ho" to a woman when we are in USA. Do you want to guess the reason why?

A. "ho" = "whore"? (Do you think they sound alike?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q. Another one is Lynn told me that Dont use "fool around" to a man. Do you want to guess the reason why?
A. "fool around":
i) to pass one's time idly; putter about; loaf (v phrase by 1875) 閒蕩; 無所事事; 游手好閒
ii) to joke and tease = "kid around" (v phrase by 1875) 嬉戲; 玩耍笑弄
e.g. Mark, stop fooling around and get to work.
iii) to adventure sexually, especially adulterously = "play around" (v phrase by 1970s) 鬼混
e.g. He had never fooled around or seen a prostitute until he came to us. -- Xaviera Hollander
e.g. As I told Lipranzer a long time ago, Carolyn did not fool around. -- Scott Turow
"fool around with":
i) to play or tamper with; coquette with (v phrase by 1875) 瞎擺弄
e.g. I told you not to fool around with that gun; now you've shot Aunt Bessie.
e.g. Better not fool around with him, he's a karate black belt.
Yes,My friend said never say Yo Ho to a woman or she might think you are calling her a whore.><llll
If we say "fool around to a man,it might have another meaning.-->That means I ask if he wants to have a sex.><lll
