I found the other translation about this poem.

Not even a single bird flies above the high mountain peaks strectching off into the distance. Not trace of human presence can be detected on the path. Only one old fisherman wearing a coir coat and leaf hat sits in his little boat. He is finishing all alone on the cold river.


Which translation you like? the first one or second one? and Why?

I like the second one, for it's more vivid.

many years ago, i came accross a little magazine called "chinese pen", it is a magazine put out by tranditional chinese scholars, they did many wonderful translations, the magazine was published of course in Taiwan, perhaps there r ppl can recognize the name of this magazin >> 中國筆

From hill to hill no bird in flight,
From path to path no man in sight.
A lonely fisherman afloat
Is fishing snow on lonely boat.
