kickoff meeting means kickoff (start) a project, and should have a kickoff meeting to start the project, and let all relative people know all about this project kickoff meeting should include project approval project specification project schedule project members and job assignment etc..

"kick off meeting"
= "啟動會議" 當一個專案規劃完成後，接著就要開始執行了，而執行的依據就是規劃階段所產出的專案管理計畫書，所以第一步就是要召開專案啟動會議，對專案成員以及專案利害關係人介紹專案的範圍、專案進行的方式、每個成員的執掌、遇到問題如何反應與溝通等等，讓所有參與專案的人員可以清楚明瞭專案進行的細節，也就是讓專案成員在執行專案時有所本，並遵守專案的遊戲規則，以利後續專案的運行與管理。
