What is the matter? = What is wrong? = 有啥不對勁? or 有啥關係? 這已是完整句子, 後面的"her coming or not"成了贅語, 也因此沒把原句翻譯出來. 如果改為: What is the matter with her coming or not? 或是: What does it matter whether she comes or not? 文法是對了, 但意思是: 她來或不來有啥不對勁? 不論她來或不來有啥關係? 她來又怎麼樣? 不來又怎麼樣? 茲試譯如下: What will happen if she comes or if she doesn't? 或是: What does it matter if she comes or if she doesn't?
