a. a pair of complementaries
--> male/female

b. a pair of relational opposites
--> solid/gas; male/female

c. a pair of homophones
--> two/too; past/passed

d. a pair of gradable opposites
--> shiny/dull

e. two members of a set of multiple complementaries
--> solid/gas, solid/liquid, solid/fragile, solid/floral
(not sure how multiple complementaries is defined in your textbook)
