Hi Kathy,
One basic difference is that "hear" is a transitive verb and "listen" is not. You can easily consult any dictionary for their difference in meanings and usages.

Hi Yunqing,
Please recheck your answers to questions 3. and 4. You can hear Rock music, and you can listen to Rock music, but you cannot listen Rock music. Likewise: The pupils can hear the teacher carefully; The pupils can listen to the teacher carefully; but the pupils cannot listen the teacher carefully. The simple reason is that "listen" is an intransitive verb.
