I am writing a letter to one of my best friends Jean, who has moved to Canada with her family for many years. The way we keep in contact with each other is by writing letters.
I always write to her on a Monday and mail it on the same day, and Jean receives it on Saturday the same week.

Herewith my simple try:
A good friend of mine named Jean lives in Canada. Every Monday I am used to writing her a letter and telling her what I have been doing during the last few days. After finishing the letter, I walk to the post office to send it out. Jean usually receives my letter on Saturdays. ( Do you think that we are supposed to keep in touch by e-mail which is more economic nowadays?  )

Jean Chow, living in Canada with her family, is one of my best friends. I write to her on Mondays regularly. To me, this is not only a weekly routine but also the most pleasant moment. Today, as usual, I cheerfully go to the post office to send the mail and hopefully she will receive it soon on Saturday.
