延續性動詞又稱持續性動詞, 它所表示的是一種持續性的動作.
這類動詞有: learn, work, stand, lie, walk, have, wait, smoke, watch, sing, read, sleep, live, study, run....etc. 非延續性動詞又稱瞬間動詞, 它所表示的動作不能延續, 即動作發生後立即結束, 這類動詞有: close, die, arrive, post, fall, break, lose, give, join, receive, buy, borrow, become, start, happen, begin, finish, marry, explode.....etc. http://www.wawawa.com.tw/grammar/verb.html
