My admiration for your tireless search efforts on the word ‘gymn’. You are always that resourceful!

Some dictionaries (dictionary.yahoo and Answers.com) define ‘gym’ as gymnasium, whereas Wikipedia defines ‘gym’ as a shortened form for it. None of the dictionaries that I have access contains the word ‘gymn’.

However, I have no qualms on the legality of ‘gymn’ for the game, although those links presented are mostly self defined articles. Before I submit the next entry, I would like to hear comments from the other participants.

We did make it a rule that all the words admitted in this game must be from a regular dictionary or a scholarly word reference, and that is why such interjections as oofs, haha, errr, hmmm, wowo, ah-hah, eh-hem, etc. are not accepted though often used in writings, while other dictionary-listed ones like oops, alas, ouch, wow, etc. are legal.

If we allowed "gymn" for this game, should we allow in the future those words not listed in regular dictionaries but often seen in the web searches?

I'll comply with whatever rules set.
