Hi Futari alias 美人

meijin = kuròto = 'the expert' or 'the intellect'

meijin is not US$ or pretty girl as you think; nor is it an animated character.

Pretty Girl in Japanese is "BISHOUJO"

So, take your pick! Meijin or Bishoujo, or BOTH?

Are you sure you've got your word "kuròto" rightly "spelt"?
There's no "grave accent ( ` )" in Japanese.

Hello 美人

Your remarks take me back to lesson one. Please correct me where I go wrong.

Kuròto written in kanji (漢字)is 専門家

The word “kuròto” embraces the “CHOON” sound (長音). 長音 here means prolong. The same vowel occuring twice in succession is called 長音, and it takes as long to pronounce as two short ones. In Rōmaji (ローマ字), it is indicated by putting a line (or a thunder) over the vowel. The exception is for “i” where you do it with a double “ii”, and for “ee” where you do it with “ei”.

The method of transcription in Hiragana ( 平假名)is different from that of Rōmaji. Here are some Rōmaji examples: -

à obàsan
ei eigo
ii oniisan
ù kùki

Examples of a few exceptions are:

kòri ice or baggage
onèsan elder sister
òsama emperor

Some words with the 長音 sound are:

eiga movie
fùtò envelope
heiwa peace
kòtsù traffic
òkii big

This link perhaps can substantiate.

Please do not take this as 班門弄斧. I am not your match.

Extra info on "kurōto":-

1) "[く][ろう][と]" = "[ku][rou][to]" = "ku rō to" = "kurōto" (specialist; professional)

2) "ˋ" <== The "grave accent" looks something like this and is different from the "macron".

3) "ˉ" <== The "macron" is placed above a vowel to indicate a long sound, as in this case, to represent the long vowel sound in kur"ou"to and is expressed like this => "ō" => "kurōto", not "kuròto". No grave accent is used in Japanese.

HTH.

Hello Futari

Point well taken!

FYI, I possess a museum piece laptop that does not support certain symbols such as the ‘macron’. These are the only symbols available on my pc in respect of the vowels; which is why I conveniently used the grave accent.

Á Â Ã Ä Å
È É Ê Ë
Ì Í Î Ï
Ò Ó Ô Õ Ö
Ù Ú Û Ü
á â ã ä å
è é ê ë
ì í î ï
ò ó ô õ ö
ù ú û ü

I am sorry if I had misled viewers.

Hello Courtesy

Lady Futari has not taken up the offer as yet!

You can have both if you so desire, or do you need better ones? At your request, I will provide sweeter names for you!

Geo,
Lady Futari has not taken those sweet names yet,
but i m pushing her to accept cause I feel that
she is intelligent. Although i have not seen her
in person but I feel that she got to be pretty.
My sixth sense is very strong... trust me!

As for me I m not pretty or intelligent. So I can't
accept any sweet names from you.

Thank you.
