最近兒子問我有關國一英文朗文版的一個問題,
課本裡提到在補習班是 at cram school,在學校是 at school
為何不可以是 at the cram school 與 at the school呢? 有沒有加 the 意思上有不一樣嗎 ?
記得以前老師以前敎上學是go to school
而到學校去(不是指上學)是go to the school
難道這樣的概念不能類比嗎?

at the cram school 是只在特定的補習班嗎？

"teachers go to work at schools" is just a general statement, 老師在學校上班, i didn't have to specify which school, therefore i didn't say "the" school

for example, if you asked me where my friend was, i might say "he's at the school", meaning he's physically at the school now

or without "the"..i dunno...i'm confusing myself haha

at school 在學校(就學或工作)
at cram school 在補習班(就學或工作)
at the school 在學校(指地點), 該校為雙方所共知或前文已提及.
at the cram school 在補習班(指地點), 該補習班為雙方所共知或前文已提及
at a (cram) school 在某一所學校(學校(or補習班).

e.g.
He is at achool. 他在學校上課.
He enhances his learning at cram school. 他上補習班加強補習功課.
Please wait for me at the (cram) school. 請在學校(or補習班)等我.
You can call me at the cram school. 你可以打電話到補習班找我.
