What does the sentences mean?

" I can't read nothing a word at all." and " I can read nothing a word."?

Hi dog-legged,

Yes, they are the same. It's double-negative colloquial expression in linguistics. Tim can explain better.

I still have no idea.

Can someone please show me more sentences like this "double-negative" to enlighten me?

Your reply will be appreciated.

The fist one should be a very strong emotion, the speaker empathizes what he or she has got.

Double negatives or multiple negatives are used by some people to make things seem more negative. This usage is not considered standard now. Compare the following sentences:

1. I don't know anything. -> Single negative, standard usage.
I don't know nothing. -> Double negative, considered uneducated by most people.

2. It is not anything (or something) I know. -> Single negative.
It isn't (or ain't) nothing I don't know. -> Multiple negative.

There's one famous slang expression that employs double negative. The expression is "you ain't seen nothing yet."
