no, you don't have to. If you throw them in the trash bin in the bathroom, the room will smell a bit worse for sure.

toilet papers are meant for cleaning purposes, again it is where you clean will determine where you will throw those papers. Since toilet papers are bio degradeable, its no harm throwing toilet papers into the toilet bowl, moreover it brings no harm to the enviromental concern, irrespective of the condition and the types of the bowl. Unless you want to throw the toilet papers into the bowl by the rolls.

123, of course I put the trash bin in the bathroom.
Imagine if I don't, and I have the trash bin in my bedroom, that means every time I wipe, I have to put my pants on and get out of the bathroom and throw the tissues in the trash bin in my bedroom, then come back to the bathroom again to wipe the second time and so on and so forth. Do you know how troublesome that is?

It's smelly and dirty, plus..it can be quite a gross scene too. In many places, such as SG...toilet papers are thrown into the toilet bowl. The "rubbish bin" beside it is meant for ladies to throw their sanitary pads, not toilet papers. So Kathy, to answer your question, the issue now is whether the toilet sewer system can handle the toilet papers. If they can't, then the toilet bowls will clog easily. Necessary or not, it really depends on which toilet bowl u're using.
