廢話、胡說、鬼扯等是我們日常生活常用的言語，英文跟中文一樣也有許多不同的講法。底下列一些常見的說法。
nonsense 這是最基本的用法。你可以用以下說法。 He is talking nonsense. All his words are (just only) a bunch of nonsense. His words are a load of nonsense. It's full of nonsense. 你可以從上面看出 a bunch of/a load of/full of 是常常跟它關連的用法。 除了說 nonsense, 你還可以說 rubbish, garbage, trash 等。這幾字當然指的是垃圾。 此外還有比較俚語的說法，如 balderdash, baloney, bunkum, gibberish, malarkey, poppycock 和常見的 bullshit 等。由於 bullshit 這個字不太好聽，有些人會用 BS 來代替它，這算是委婉話。 Tim
