This is a very good saying that applies to many people. We can hear many people say things like "I knew it all along", "If I were you, I wouldn't have done it in the first place" and so on. It is always easy to say something after something bad has happened. Saying that won't improve the situation at all and might make others angry too.
In American English, they use "Monday morning quarterback" to describe a person who is so wise and gives some advice after an event. Sometimes people also say "his hindsight is 20/20." Tim
