Today's second news article is from the VOA Special English program, Words and Their Stories and its focus is on the eye. Thus here is another idiom about it.

This idiom means to look at someone or something for a lot time with lot of enjoyment and pleasure.


We stood on the hilltop, feasting our eyes on the lights of the city below.

The second act is long, giving the audience time to feast its eyes on the stunning Guthrie's stunning sets.

I thought about what you said Tim and I think that there are two things that I would love to always feast my eyes upon. One would be to look at the one I love with a loving and caring heart and to is to see the sun setting on a island beach with her.
