The Sands of Time

A New Year approaches
As the sands of time pass
Our hour glass almost empty of it sand
We sift our hope and wishes
On the ebbing sands
Some laughing
Some Crying
The party goes on as the New Year Approaches
As the final grains finally fall
We now face the future
Maybe afraid but also tenacious
Maybe happy and full of cheer

The New Year has finally come
Again tilting the hourglass of time
Again letting the sands of the New Year flow

Now each of us will think forward
To what the New Year will bring
Will it bring us happiness?
Will it bring us something we desire?
Will it bring to us the love we seek?
Will we do better in school
Will we do better at work or get that job we seek?



What will you think of
About school if you are a student
About your job
Maybe you will think of your family
Your wife
Your husband
Or that special someone you truly love
The one you want to spend the rest of your life with


All of that is important
To all of us
Looking forward as the sands of time
Fall again

Now take the time to set your goals
Put it on paper
So you can see what your new goals will be
One little step at a time
Don�t be in a hurry
Take your time
Set goals you can achieve
One step at a time

Finally face the New Year with those you love
With those you care about.

( A little Note ) Remember to wite your goals down the ones you wish to reach durring the week, month, even your long term goals, Life is short and the hoursglass of time lets it sands flow day by day. Enjoy each day as if it could be your last, never waste a minute.

To all who read this I wish you a Happy New Year and hope that all your wishes and dreams come true. I hope that you do not mind my free form verse and I enjoy to write when I have something I would like to share.

No I am not an author, but I do like to write. I enjoy free form because I can say what I would like to say and write it the way I choose. It does give me pleasure and enjoyment when others like or even dislike what I have written.
