Sleep Tight

I just saw juno and Futari’s interesting conversation in the shotbox. juno: Sleep tight? As oppose to sleep loose? futari: to juno: nope! hidden line following it — “don’t let the bed bugs bite (you)!! futari:

 Sleep Tight
Sleep tight which means ’sleep well’ is a term which comes from how beds were made. Beds used to be made of ropes and would often slack and become loose which made sleeping very unconfortable. So, in order to sleep well you had to make the ropes as tight as possible before falling asleep.

 Good night, sleep tight,
Wake up bright
In the morning light
To do what’s right
With all your might.

Variation: Line added between first and second “Don’t Let the Bedbugs Bite”

Variation:

Good night, sleep tight,
Don’t let the bedbugs bite.
And if they do
Then take your shoe
A nd knock ‘em ‘til
They’re black and blue!

Good night, sleep tight/ Wake up bright/ In the morning light…(晚安,睡個好覺!
